Parish Governance The activities, operations and affairs of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. Demetrius are overseen and managed by the St. Demetrius Parish Council. The Council is elected annually by the members of the Parish. The Parish Council operates under the authority and guidelines of our newly adopted and Consistory approved Parish Constitution. Every Ukrainian Orthodox church in Canada operates under the authority of the bylaws of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada.
As required by the Parish Constitution, the Council members report to the members of the Parish at the Annual General meeting. These reports summarize the goals, observations, experiences, accomplishments and unfinished work (if any) of the Council member in that position.
