On Sunday March 4th, St. Demetrius parish held its annual concert to honour the life of Ukraine's most celebrated poet, Taras Shevchenko.

The concert included narration about the life of Taras Shevchenko, accompanying slide images, and performances by many parishioners including:  

• the St. Demetrius Choir under the direction of Victor Kowalenko and Zhanna Zinchenko,
• the St. Demetrius Bandura Ensemble under the musical direction of Ron Demeda,
• the St. Demetrius Sunday School under the musiclal direction of Oksana Klinovska,
• the St. Demetrius Quartet,
• verse recital by Petro Chved,
• Bandura solos by Oles Zienchuk, Denis Hatnuk, William Kowalenko, 
• Vocal solo of Бандуристе Орле Сизий by Pavlo Zmiyiwski,
• Vocal duet of Така її доля by Nadia Kokhanska and Orysia Mandzatiuk,
• Vocal duet by Анна Клименко and,Марія Клименко,

The concert concert concluded with the St. Demetrius Choir, St. Demetrius Bandura Ensemble and all present jointly singing Заповіт..
